Bjorg Jewellery / Lust List

BJORG is one of the most inspiring jewellery designers I have seen. The concept, vision, imagination, styling, essence, and execution of the brand is second to none. The somewhat ethereal and mystical result undoubtedly displays the purity of a distinctly Scandinavian label.
Whilst making jewellery for Black Neon one of my key ideals is to combine natural elements in their raw form, crystals, stones, shells, found objects, organic objects and encase them in something modern edgy and industrial. If you have every tried to find a black opal ring that doesn't look like it has come from a shop called 'mystical visions' or something along those lines then you'll know how special its is to find a brand like Bjorg.

Bjorg certainly has some fashion stripes, take a look a the celeb and press followers...

Lovely jewellery available online at my wardrobe by Anton Heunis. Anton's work appeals to my taste as it encompasses elements of sparkly chunky vintage, modern graphic shapes, bold colours connected with strong metalwork (similar reasons that attract me to Mawi's exquisite jewellery).

Acacia Swimwear

Acacia is the convertible swimwear brand by Naomi Newirth, born in Maui and Lyndie Irons born and raised on the beaches of Southern California; needless to say wearing a bikini daily was the norm for both girls, so they deciding to make their own.
Naomi and Lyndie describe Acacia as 'a fuse between the perfect low cut Italian bikini and the flirty Brazilian fit. Detail oriented with custom prints and lining, soft buttery fabric, and seamless comfort, Acacia is truly one of a kind'. As you can see from the pictures, the Brazilian cut bottom is something that you don't often see on our shelves in the UK. I do think that we are getting more confident with our swimwear choices, yet it's unlikely we will all be wearing Brazilian style bottoms for SS12. Alas if we wore a bikini each day, we may not be as apprehensive to put one on.

BLACK NEON SS12 - Inspiration

I often get asked what inspires me; well it can be anywhere from a fleck of bright coloured paint on a wall in a hot country to tiles at tube station, art, or textiles I've collected on my travels. Although as you can see I LOVE graphic bold lines and colours.
