Tina Kalivas
Tina Kalivas is a lady with clear talent. Australian based Tina Kalivas lived in London for 8 years, primarily she worked at Alexander McQueen, where she was seamstress and Creative Pattern Cutter of showpieces and private orders. Sometimes I come across designers would I feel an affinity towards, and see their influences, taste and perhaps hidden meanings come through in their work.
For one of my pattern cutting projects at Uni I used the basis of a paper airplane and origami to fold a structure into the front of a dress, I dare say that was one of Tina's starting points for this dress. Needless to say Tina would be someone I'd love to have a good old chin wag with!
You can even buy her collection at ASOS!

Dolce & Gabbana Net-a-Porter
Natalie Massenet of Net-a-Porter and Mr Porter threw a party for Dolce & Gabbana to launch their new e-commerce collaboration. Fortunately my name was on the list, thanks Heba. The party was held in Net-a-Porter's very slick Westfield offices. The stars were out in force, Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce were joined by Naomi Campbell, Queen Latifah, Pixie Lott, Peaches Geldof, Jaime Winstone, Alfie Allen, David Gandy, Kelly Osbourne, Bip Ling, and Jade Parfitt to name a few! The cocktails were lovely as was Jamie Winstone who I briefly managed to grab and gave details of Black Neon. Hopefully she'll be in touch!

Aloe Blacc at Somerset House
Aloe Blacc is one VERY talented soul singer, dancer, rapper, entertainer and crowd pleaser. We were especially pleased to see him after 3 hours of waiting. However the wait was not without its merits, we watched up and coming acts including Ruby Blu who was THE clear stand out talent.

Surface to Air - Beachwear
One of my favourite brands Surface to Air now has their own range of 'Brazilian' beachwear for sale online. 7 Pairs of mens short and 3 styles of bikini, looks like swimwear is coming of age!
Port Montenegro
If you happen to be so lucky to visit Port Montenegro 'The New Port of Cool', Wolf & Badger are currently there as part of pop up store. 'Fashion brands consist of London based swimwear designer Heidi Klein, Dublin designer Zoe Jordan's fashion brand Irwin & Jordan, Vilebrequin offering an exclusive swimwear range, London concept store Wolf & Badger and Florentine Jewelry designer Carolina Bucci'.
If you want to read more about Port Montenegro the FT 'how to spend it' wrote an interesting article back in 2009!
