Lily Kamper / Lust List

Yes I know, it's been a very long time since I've been here. Three months in fact, which has flown by and with good reason. I've bought and moved into a new home, planned a wedding and got married, been on honeymoon and started a new job! So yes I've been busy, but now it's time to turn the attention to Black Neon, and all things creative. With this in mind there is one jeweller that I HAVE to tell you about, I've not seen work as exciting, modern and lovingly handmade in a long time.

Lily Kamper graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2012 and founded her label shortly after. During her time at RCA she experimented with dip dying a variety of materials, including perspex which is then turned by hand on a lathe to create the architectural shapes for her jewellery. Lily finishes the shapes with handmade gold and silver plated brass end caps and findings to create her final piece. Beautiful in the flesh and finished to a high standard, the work that goes into each piece is evident, pricing is reasonable around £80 - £250 making her product not only hugely desirable but also within sight of achieving. Lily Kamper will without doubt have a promising career ahead. Currently stocked at Young British Designers and Liberty there are certainly other stores waiting to snap her up!

Moxham / Lust List

Moxham hits the nail on the head, hard. Londoner Madeleine Moxham (pictured below at Somerset House during LFW) previously trained and worked in fashion for a variety of designers such as Felder Felder and Aquascutum, following her MA at Nottingham Trent she focused on accessories. Using Oversized gold plated fastenings, chain, large eyelet and triangular detailing and leather strapping Moxham's statement pieces are modern and extremely wearable day or night.  The appearance of reference to bondage strapping and harnesses creates a sensual element to overall aesthetic of the brand. Moxham is top of my Lust List, to wear with simple silk t-shirts and jeans.

Temperley / London Fashion Week AW13

Location
The Dorchester set the tone for an elegant show, tea coffee and biscuits were served.

BYRDS collection cited Hitchcock actress Tippi Hedren as muse, creating a darker streamlined style than usually synonymous with Temperley.

Beautiful whites and cream checks. Swing coats. 60s influenced. Neat fitting polo neck jumpers. Long lean floor length white evening dresses (that could be easily worn as a wedding dress). Bold embellishment using large crystals or gold beading, in a clean modern configuration or scalloped 30s pattern. Heavy weight gold square jacquard brocade. Sapphire blue. Signature Temperley prints with a slight art nouveau element. Pointed extremely high Charlotte Olympia court shoes with thin heels. Covetable half hand covering white or black leather gloves, and full length black leather gloves.

Delfina Delettrez / Lust List

Delfina Delettrez, fourth generation Fendi family specialised in costume history before heading to Chanel's couture style department. Her work features Carrara marble, Capodimonte ceramic, exotic wood, glass, crystal and resin alongside gold, silver, iron and copper.  The designers sculptural, desirable and unusual work most certainly features in my Lust List.
