Janvier London / Lust List

Soon to conquer the world, Janvier London is a new brand certainly worthy of Lust List status. The lovely Elle Azhdari (born in Shiraz, Iran, raised in Sweden, living in East London) co-founded Janvier London with Michelle Nakash, heir to the Jordache empire and launched their capsule collection in July 2013.

Having worked on branding and events for the likes of Nike, Coca Cola, Range Rover and Absolut Vodka, Elle is a women who knows how to make things look good. From the product itself,  gold plated cages contain beautiful soft leather pouches all made in the UK, to the brand identity and website, Elle has created an iconic brand that pours out style.

It's clear to sight Janvier's influences: 70's Vegas, 80's Rodeo Drive, Miami, Versace, Moschino.....All the good stuff.

Guess what? Janvier are also happy to take commissions. That Versace scarf I never wear, now could be given a new lease of life as a girl about town beautiful bag. I can't wait to see what Janvier are going to make next.

Lily Kamper / Lust List

Yes I know, it's been a very long time since I've been here. Three months in fact, which has flown by and with good reason. I've bought and moved into a new home, planned a wedding and got married, been on honeymoon and started a new job! So yes I've been busy, but now it's time to turn the attention to Black Neon, and all things creative. With this in mind there is one jeweller that I HAVE to tell you about, I've not seen work as exciting, modern and lovingly handmade in a long time.

Lily Kamper graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2012 and founded her label shortly after. During her time at RCA she experimented with dip dying a variety of materials, including perspex which is then turned by hand on a lathe to create the architectural shapes for her jewellery. Lily finishes the shapes with handmade gold and silver plated brass end caps and findings to create her final piece. Beautiful in the flesh and finished to a high standard, the work that goes into each piece is evident, pricing is reasonable around £80 - £250 making her product not only hugely desirable but also within sight of achieving. Lily Kamper will without doubt have a promising career ahead. Currently stocked at Young British Designers and Liberty there are certainly other stores waiting to snap her up!
